Designing and Illustrating a text from a classic author
Main Tasks
Making Classic Authors Approachable
Adjust the text typographically and illustratively so that it is more approachable to people from mixed cultural backgrounds and might find classic authors more difficult to read.
Production
Format the book in such a way that it can be easily transported and stored in more economical living spaces while still providing a sense of quality.
Main Outcomes
Book Design
The text in the book was typographically broken into sections so that it could be interpreted as a conversation between the author and reader. Illustrations were added to highlight the colourful use of language the author uses in his wiriting.
Production
The book is formatted to a size that balances the economics of space and production costs without a lose to readability and user experience.
